Well, it was last Wednesday. I was hanging out with my friend Kyle, and he had a modded Wii with the Japanese iso or Super Smash Brothers Brawl. My impressions? I most definitely like some of the new additions.
As I had promised my friends, the first character I tried out was Diddy. His cart-wheel is amazing, and yes, I'm a biased Donkey Kong Country and DK64 fan. He was a bit harder to control, and overall the game seems slower, but it's definitely fun as hell. As a Marth user, I'm glad he's back and that he received some buffs, also I was very pleased with Pokemon Trainer, Metaknight, Olimar, and Pit. They are very well-balanced.
Now, I wish I had time to play over the weekend, but I was overwhelmed with schoolwork. Hopefully I'll get to play it sometime during this week or on the weekend. We shall see. But don't hold your breath for the US release, consider modding your Wii and importing this masterpiece, it's well worth it, even if you're not a true hardcore fan, as long as you have friends to play it with.
