I want to kick Irony in the teeth
Posted On 11/10/2008 01:33:39 by BIGMercenary

So I got home after church, went out to eat, came back home and hooked up my 360 (took it to church with me so I'd have something to do all day) and guess what? The converter box is dead. I tried plugging it into another outlet thinking it was just that and nothing worked.

The worst part: Mirror's Edge comes out Tuesday and now I have to spend my own money either buying a converter box or a cable that hooks into a TV's cable jack, which I don't think they make.

Had I paid attention that it was being released this week I wouldn't have bought the Live Gold or the points card. So now it's going to probably be another 4 weeks before I can actually get the damn game, as usual. On another note I've heard that Mirror's Edge lasts about 6 hours. That I don't mind, it seems like one of those games that once you've completed it you're either too frustrated to go back or so amazed that you have no choice but to go back and try things differently.
I can't stop listening to the Junkie XL Theme remix to Mirror's Edge. WHAT HAS HE DONE TO ME YET AGAIN??!!

(Also would you beleive people hate this game because of the cutscenes? THE CUTSCENES. The ones that look like Flash animations that actually advance the storyline. I swear some people should not be allowed to live.)

On top of that I still wanted to get Soul Calibur 4, Bioshock (which I finally played the demo of today, freakin awesome), and I need some new games for my PSP, mine are getting old.

I played the Alone in the Dark demo today.... complete waste of my download time. I can't even get past the first scene. You're constantly told by some guy not to look at him and whenever you do the camera resets itself. You're supposed to blink otherwise your eyes start to blur badly which is just an f'ed up way to present a game. I get to a certain point in a fire escape and the guy shoots me, demo restarts... after the third time I realized I'm not a masochist and this game really does suck. DELETED.

In other news (this is the part you can skip reading if you don't care) I got to see the potential new youth pastor. Turns out he's a comedian also, balding guy, looks late 20s, early 30s. His wife is a freakin Amazon.... Taller than he is.
Meanwhile during the evening service our old youth pastor showed up, the one that quit to "continue his prison ministry." I guess he was just visiting but it's nice to know there's no bad blood among people. Personally I'd like it if HE came back instead, but I understand the issue there of them possibly leaving again.

I should be in bed by now, but worrying about nothing is keeping me awake right now and only the Mirror's Edge song is distracting me.

Keep Playing.

Yeah it did but this time its not the 360's fault. I might look around for a universal rf adaptor. It's cheaper and I won't have to plug it in.
