I got my Ps3 and Its working fine. If you bought your Ps3 from a guy in a trashcan you mihgt want a refund.

Is this a real fact? or are you just making this up? If it is a fact then I stand corrected, but I would think I would be hearing a lot more news about how 5 out of 6 Ps3 are defective. I have not read any more news on how the Ps3 is blowing up, or overheating. I believe you are very bitter to the Ps3, and that is your situation, but lets not say things that are not true, and lead our memebers into believing that they got a 83% chance of buying a defective Ps3, which is not true. LE

Yo the only reason a PS3 freezes is 1) The software (game) is glitched up. Like the F1 demo. 2) Your keeping it enclosed in a case, or small spaced area. Mines ontop of the T.V and can breathe, and has never froze once during gameplay.
Its the greatest system ever

Actually there are several more reasons why it's freezing.
First off, it's not in a small area, trust me on that.
Second of all, the area that it IS in has several other fans as well as the internal fans in the system to keep it cool so people can play it. Most problems with the systems in stores is that the internal system fans are dying out.
There is also one error that I would like to correct myself in.
I stated at an earlier time that: "if you touch the disks, the oils from your fingers ruin the disk" and I found that to be untrue (obviously). That is not the issue, but the true issue is that if there happens to be a scratch on the disk that is as small as the oils from your fingers, it won't read due to the lazer on the blu ray disk drive. That means you better be taking care of your games!
Eventually, down the road I will be buying a playstaion 3... I know... all of you who called me a sony basher are pointing your fingers and saying "yea, I knew you were going to buy one" but the reason for buying one is different. All you people are getting one NOW because you HAVE to have it. Sorry, I don't have $600 to toss around yet, hopefully when the system comes out in white, I'll have the money for it. But right now, with the plethora of defects and just the unsecurity of no one having them in stock chases me away. I need to warranty the system through my store, because I don't want to send it to sony, so I'll wait till they become more pleantiful as the x-box 360 (which i'll be playing more than the ps3)
