Yea, well, people who have the system, write what you got. As for me, this is what I'm going to say:

We just got our kiosk of the PS3 in our store, and so far, it has froze a ton of times. We had to open the kiosk, turn off the system, then turn it back on because it was also overheating.

So far the problems with the PS3's are as follows:

1 - Overheating issues
2 - Defective blu-ray drives
3 - The loading times are the same, if not longer
4 - Defects in controllers, sixaxis doesn't work all the time
5 - If the battary dies in your controller, you can charge it, but after charging it 2 to 3 times, your battaries die and you need to buy a new controller
6 - NO HD-CABLES ON LAUNCH DAY??? WTF SONY!!!
7 - NO PS2 MEM-CARD SLOT READER???
8 - NO FULL BACKWARDS COMPATABILITY FOR PS2 AND PSX GAMES!!!
9 - CONSTANT IMAGE FREEZING
10 - If you don't have a hi-def TV, the picture quality is crap


So yea, this is the worst system launch to date ever.

It is not a defective system. I was at Gamestop today and the guy that works there toldme they were having the SAME EXACT issues with there kiosk,,,hahah good goin Sony, ya jerkoffs.

they screwed up on the release just like microsoft on their launch of xbox360.... they all have problems in the beginning but when people complain they go back and fix the problems sooo Sony will eventually make the problems go away xD keyword eventually

I'm lovin my ps3, I mean I wasn't expecting breath taking graphics at this time and I was expectin a few pains (*long load timess being the only one.. other than the sixaxis somtimes not working). So I'm enjoying it.I guess you guys just have bad luck... and whats with all this overheating stuff? Mines cooler than my slim ps2... no problems here. A happy PS3 customer!

Only thing I have to say about Gamestop and other places with systems on display is have you ever looked where the put the things? Normally there is almost no air flow into them, and very little room for air to leave. Of course the system is going to overheat when it is placed in there. The same thing would happen to my computer but I am smart enough to let it get the right cooling to perform right. I am not saying there are not problems but I will not give up, and would love to see one in action, and I might get one when the craziness goes away.

Remeber to keep it clean guys, and constructive. All good fun here, but I also love the pride for the systems we need that, but in good fun. :)

Did a little research, the main problem I see was with the PS3, not playing some of the games from PS1 and PS2. They have realesed some software paches to fix this problem, but I am sure they will get a new version out after the holidays. This is a big ass system. Its like Disney Land, they had gliches too :) .

You only say you like the system cause you're a fanboy of sony.

The other day I duked it out with a sony fan boy and I above all won.

The thing is that sony claimed no shortages, and they stabbed us with that, stabbed us strait in the heart! On top of that, not all the PS2 and PSX games not working, that's crap. People complained how all x-box 360 titles were not going to be Backwords Compatable (BC) but Microsoft saying "One day in the future the entire library will be".
Sony on the other hands says "Yes, all the games will work" and then the last second they release "Well, some games will work better than others". They released that information the night prior to system launch. So why did sony hold back from saying that? Because (and I quote from an earlier post) "Sony does not care about the consumer anymore".
They are loosing $250 per system (price of a Wii), and on top of that, the string of defectives caused sony to have a great setback. So what is sony's true modivation with the PS3? They want people to "play beyond" when I have played beyond, I own a Wii.

Oh, and on top of all that, the only two games that people want the PS3 for is moving over to the 360 anyway.
