Basically the gold membership allows us to offer accounts with features that we cant afford to give away to everyone. The 'payment' thing you're seeing is a bug that thinks you're a paying member when you're really not.
Currently, there are about 5 new things I'm working on for gamerbio and all of them will be free to everyone. I plan on making all new features completely free forever.
The only 'paid' things I can forsee us doing in the future is maybe getting some game servers or something like that unless someone else can think of a way for us to raise money.
