Im a Pikachu player. Shiek is so overused. she's really only good if you know when to switch between Zelda and Shiek (this tactic also confuses the hell out of your enemies). Pikachu has Shiek's speed and Zelda's strong smash attacks, with some not too shabby B attacks.

I used to play as Pikachu in the first game. I love Sheik's speed. She may not be as powerful as Jigglypuff..who is pretty damn powerful x_x..but her speed and Zelda's great attacks make up for it. Its a two for one deal :D

Samus was the best for me in Smash Bros 64 but Melee I use Marth and own with the speed and power RAWR i love swords i destroy everyone with them! YAY TAKE SOME OF THIS BOWSER!!!

Which character do you play?

I play a Luigi, and a Peach.

I play a few other characters, actualy quite a few, but those are my best chars.

That is why i dont win, cause the chars i play are mid-midlow teir haha.

Well peach is kinda high, but not good enough to win a tournement haha.

Link is the best overall fighter. The only thing he lacks is an indefinately long range weapon, and bow is long range enough for him.

He's fast, has a wide range, and is powerful. Probably the most well balanced character in the game in my opinion. I play with no items on though, so I forget how he does in those types of matches.

Plus he looks cool. :)

Pikachu has smash attacks and speed that puts Link to shame.

another great thing about Pika. he takes skill to effectively use. he is definately NOT a beginner's character.

actaully Peach is usually sorted into the highest tier, but pretty much only because she's somewhat of an unbalanced character, but hey, other than Smash purists, not many people care about tiers that determine how good a character is, though it is generally agreed that Bowser sucks.
