What you have to honestly understand is why most people HATE religion.

Most people hate religion, not because of many gods, not because they dont want to belive it or it doesnt make sence, they dont like it because its about FAITH.

No matter what religion you go into, its about faith, its about the belife that something that you CANT SEE OR EXPLAIN exists.

Now moveing on to your question of how do i know that other gods arent real, and the answer is just as i have said, by faith...

I belive the bible is truth, i belive that its backed up not just in science, but also in time as well, many things have pointed back to the bible and its truths.  However, can i PROVE that no other gods exist, can i show you where god is, can i point him out, no, and thats where the faith comes in.

If you read the bible it tells you about many aspects of life, includeing death and what happens when we die, for example it says that we sleep in the boosom of abraham untill the resurection unto which everyone will be judged.  So because of my faith, because of the feeling i get when i read the bible, and think of God and what he wants for us, thats how i can feel that what i read IS true.

One thing thats awsome about God, is that he allows you to make your own decitions, just as Satan does.  They do things to sway your mind one way or the other, but in the end its you who make the choice.  The way God tries to sway you is by showing you what he wants for you when you go to his kingdom, and what he wants for you in his life, while satan tries to sway you to his side with doubt, fear, and other religions or gods that may possess  things that you moreso agree with.

However, if someone else belives in lets say....Odin, it would be the exact same for that person, where they would belive that Odin is almighty over all other gods, and a God ("God") like Jesus is just to sway them from Odin and his teachings.

In the end my freind, its about faith, and all people can do is to show you exacly what the bible says and what god wants for you so you can make your mind up as to if you want to go with him or not, thats all there is to it.

Hope this helps you, and before you but Jesus on the backburner you may want to find someone who knows about the bible to sit with you and show you what Jesus wants for you, you may be surprised to know that Jesus wants everything that you want, and wants to give it to you.
